简介:贝勒医学院(Baylor College of Medicine)是美国的一所私立医学院,被认为是全美最杰出的医学院之一。它坐落于德克萨斯州的休士顿,位于著名的德克萨斯医学中心里面。

Postdoctoral Associate Positions in the Wang Lab

Baylor College of Medicine 

Wang laboratory currently has postdoctoral position immediately available. Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree or equivalent in a relevant research area is required. Highly motivated and creative individuals with strong background in developmental biology, molecular and cell biology, and/or biochemistry are encouraged to apply. Prior experience with mouse genetics is valuable but not required. 

Wang lab research is aimed at understanding signaling pathways such as Hippo, Wnt and Bmp pathways in regulating craniofacial and heart development, diseases and regeneration, with a special interest in cranial bone development and regeneration, congenital heart diseases, and cardiac conduction system disease and regeneration. Undergoing studies are supported by NIH and AHA grants. Research approaches include a combination of genetic mouse model, molecular and biochemical techniques, genomics, proteomics, and next generation sequencing techniques. Projects will need to use mouse genetics, cell culture and manipulation, molecular biological and biochemical techniques such as PCR, mutagenesis, subcloning, Western blot, co-immunoprecipitation, immunofluorescence et al. Studies will also need to use 2nd generation sequencing techniques such as RNA-seq and ChIP-seq to identify gene changes in control and disease models, and CRISPR-Cas9 genome editing technology to generate specific gene knockout cell lines and mouse models.

Dr. Warren J. Leonard, Laboratory of Molecular Immunology and the Immunology Center, National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute (NHLBI), NIH, Bethesda, MD is recruiting a postdoctoral researcher to work in the area of molecular immunology. Having previously discovered that mutations in the common cytokine receptor γ chain, γc, result in X-linked severe combined immunodeficiency in humans and that γc is a shared component of multiple cytokine receptors, the lab focuses on the cytokines that share γc (IL-2, IL-4, IL-7, IL-9, IL-15, and IL-21) and the IL-7-related cytokine, TSLP, with the goal of elucidating new activities, regulatory mechanisms, and connections to human disease.

The lab has generated valuable transgenic, knockout, and knockin mice and a wealth of other valuable reagents and also uses normal donor and patient cells and aims to elucidate physiological responses as well as normal and pathological mechanisms, including related to signal transduction, gene regulation, and epigenetics.  State-of-the-art methodologies are used in human and murine systems, in vitro and in vivo, including CRISPR/Cas9 as well as a range of next generation sequencing approaches, including ChIP-Seq, RNA-Seq, ATAC-Seq, as well as whole exome and whole genome methodology.


The ideal candidate will have a reasonable level of independence, be innovative and interactive, and will have a strong background in immunology and/or molecular biology.  The candidate must have received a Ph.D. and/or an M.D. degree.  The candidate will be supported with the excellent intramural NIH fellowship in a stimulating and interactive research environment at NIH. Applicants must be within 5 years of their doctoral degree.

Job Description

  • Provide product and scientific knowledge to our customers on a service-oriented way through phone call, email or site visit

Postdoctoral Research Scientist position – Macrophage biology and functional genomics

A Postdoctoral Research Scientist position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Hanrui Zhang in the Department of Medicine, Division of Cardiology, at Columbia University Medical Center. The Zhang laboratory focuses on the role of macrophages in cardiometabolic diseases using functional genomic approaches, and immunological and molecular biological methods.

The project is funded by NHLBI and will focus on the role and mechanisms of coronary artery disease (CAD)-associated genetic variants at the LIPA locus in atherosclerosis. The project will use in vitro cultured murine and human macrophages and transgenic mice, human iPS cells, CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing, RNA-seq, flow cytometry, immunohistochemistry, etc.. The laboratory is also interested in genome-wide CRISPR screen and high-content cell imaging. The fellows will therefore be exposed in depth to macrophage biology, human functional genomics, omics data acquisition and analysis.

We are looking for energetic, goal-oriented and collaborative young scientists with PhD and/or MD degrees and have recently completed training. The applicants should have strong expertise in flow cytometry, cell culture and molecular biology techniques, and experiences in mouse experiments. Prior experience with functional genomics and bioinformatics is a plus, but not a requirement. The postdoctoral fellow will be encouraged and supported to apply fellowships, present in scientific meetings, and write and publish manuscripts. Salary and fringe benefits will be at the appropriate NIH scale and according to the university policy, based on experiences.

Cancer Genomics Postdoctoral Fellow Position at University of Texas Health Science Center

Job Description: 

The laboratory of Dr. Siyuan Zheng is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow at the Greehey Children’s Cancer Research Institute (GCCRI), The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. We are a computational biology lab with a strong interest in the genomics of adult and pediatric cancer. We explore a broad range of questions including cancer evolution under exogenous pressure such as systematic therapy, genetic underpinning of drug response, telomere and telomerase, gene fusions, etc.  

The postdoctoral fellow candidate will have the opportunity to leverage level one data from public resources such as TCGA, TARGET, and GTEx, and will have access to a large collection of in-house xenograft data being generated at GCCRI.  Our institute provides a multidisciplinary and collegial academic environment, led by Dr. Peter Houghton, and convenient access to an extensive array of core facilities including the genomic sequencing core. Responsibility and Requirements: 

The postdoc candidate is expected to lead multiple research projects, perform data analysis, report progress in conferences, and write manuscripts. The candidates must have a PhD or MD degree in a related field (bioinformatics, computational biology, genomics, genome science). A strong computational background with experience in at least one programing language (e.g. R, Python, Java, Perl) and Linux working environment is required. Experience working with TCGA, ICGC, COSMIC, 1000 Genomes, ENCODE, GTEx, or ExAC, or other large-scale sequencing data analysis is highly preferred. Candidate is also expected to have some basic understanding of cancer biology. One first author publications in peer-reviewed journals are a minimum requirement.

简介:The Stowers Institute for Medical Research is a biomedical research organization that conducts basic research on genes and proteins that control fundamental processes in living cells to analyze diseases and find keys to their causes, treatment, and prevention. The main facility is located inKansas City, Missouri adjacent to the University of Missouri–Kansas City main campus.The institute spends over 1 billion $US on research annually.

The Institute was incorporated with an initial donation of $500 million in 1994 by James E. Stowers and his wife Virginia Stowers, cancer survivors and founders of American Century Investments. Over the next decade, the couple endowed the institute with gifts totaling almost $2 billion. The Institute opened its doors in November 2000 on the former site of Menorah Hospital. Applications are invited for motivated scholars to join the laboratory of Ping-Yue Pan at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School of Rutgers University (Piscataway, NJ). The primary research interest in Pan lab is to understand dopaminergic nerve terminal function and its deregulation in disease conditions. We currently use genetic mouse models combined with optical tools, biochemical and systems analyses to understand cell type specific regulation and vulnerability relevant to Parkinson’s disease (PD). Evidence suggests synaptic impairments as a potential early sign of neurodegeneration. Our goal is to understand how PD-risk variants, especially those have specified roles in regulating nerve terminal function, integrate their signaling to culminate in dysfunction of the dopaminergic pathway. The candidate is expected on work on new regulatory pathways of alpha-synuclein pathology, or the role of synapotojanin1 in regulating the function of the midbrain and the striatum. Prior experience in at least one of the followings: live imaging, animal behavior, pathology and/or electrophysiology are encouraged to apply.

Post-doc and a research technician needed to develop targeted gene editing therapies using high throughput DNA barcoding screens : Atlanta, GA.

The Dahlman Lab (dahlmanlab.org, @DahlmanLab) at Georgia Tech and Emory Medical School has developed a novel method to measure how many nanoparticles deliver drugs simultaneously. For the first time, we can evaluate how thousands of distinct nanoparticles deliver DNA- or RNA-based drugs directly in mice (instead of evaluating them in cell culture). As an example, we can generate ~2,000 in vivo drug delivery data points in a single experiment.

We are hiring a post-doc with a Ph.D. in chemistry or chemistry-related field. We are also hiring a research technician (B.S. or M.S.) with experience in molecular biology, biological engineering, biotechnology, or genomics. The post-doc will synthesize novel polymer-, peptide-, or lipid-based compounds, and will evaluate these compounds as drug delivery vehicles in vivo. The research technician will help lead in vivo studies, which include tissue isolation,  FACS,  DNA isolation,  DNA sequencing, and analyzing Cas9-mediated gene editing. Our goal is to identify nanoparticles that deliver therapeutic siRNA, mRNA, or gene editing therapies to new tissues.

Both the post-doc and technician will quickly generate several papers and patents. Our work is high-paced and translational. We have access to clinical partners interested in translating our work.

This is a unique opportunity for several reasons. First, you will be a member of a dynamic, fun, diverse, and interdisciplinary group. Second, you will learn about new high throughput nanoparticle screening technologies. You will combine high throughput chemistry, nanoparticle characterization, genomics, RNAtherapeutics, gene editing, and genomics. Third, you will be working in a cutting-edge field (gene editing) developing clinically relevant technologies. Finally, the Georgia Tech / Emory Medical School Department of Biomedical Engineering is ranked #1 and #2 for undergraduate and graduate studies, respectively. It is located in Atlanta. Atlanta is a thriving city with major cultural, professional, and athletic institutions. Position Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow with strong statistical skills to join our team. The fellow will play a central role in our ongoing project examining health outcomes related to heat exposure in urban and rural communities in Alabama. The fellow will take a leadership role in development of data analysis methods for working with diverse sets of data (e.g. health records, geographic and meteorological datasets, and transcriptomics), with an aim for elucidating health effects related to climate change and different land use patterns. The fellow will be in a highly collaborative and multidisciplinary environment, with opportunities for collaborative work with researchers at Johns Hopkins University Dept. of Earth and Planetary Sciences, Virginia Bioinformatics Institute, Virginia Tech Department of Statistics, and other relevant Centers and Departments across the Virginia Tech campus.

Required Qualifications:

PhD in biostatistics, statistics, applied or biomathematics, bioinformatics, engineering or related field.

Position Summary
